Emotional Health and Emotional Freedom Techniques
Emotional Health is for individuals of all ages and for groups.
We all want to move forwards. However, locked in emotion, dating back to times of difficulty and stress, can keep us looking backwards (like driving looking in the rear view mirror all the time). We are thus prevented from thinking clearly and feeling in control. With modern and effective emotional health techniques, such as EFT, it is now possible to free yourself from the past, to get on with being the person you are capable of being and to do the things you want and deserve to do.
When we are emotionally healthy, we bob back up from life's lessons with calmness, curiosity and confidence. When we get into knots, strong emotions block our thinking and lead to cravings, worry, unwanted habits or behaviours and psychosomatic symptoms.
Our minds and bodies have natural learning states. Eastern approaches have long emphasised body learnings and Energy Psychology techniques such as EFT now enable all of us to access and change the emotional learning of the body and thus our reactive behaviours. The learning state of the mind is a familiar and everyday part of what it is to be human: a trance like focus of attention. We are in positive trances to varying extents when we are daydreaming, creating, playing, meditating or deeply absorbed in activity.
Based on common sense and new scientific discoveries about how the brain and body works and how memory is stored and processed, Emotional Health Therapy combines Emotional Freedom Techniques with other effective approaches from complementary psychology and is effective in helping you get free of:
- Anxiety and limiting beliefs
- Stress related symptoms
- Lost confidence
- Compulsions and Addictive behaviour
A few relaxing and illuminating sessions (sometimes one is enough) can free you from locked in emotion and teach living skills that enable you to:
- Build confidence
- Feel good about yourself
- Be in control, think clearly
- Relax
Though primarily a trainer Gwyneth can offer some one to one appointments at Ilkley Healing Centre on Thursdays. Appointments are for a generous hour and are completely confidential. The decision to seek help is a bold step and the choice needs to feel right. Regardless of techniques and training, research shows that generally the person with whom you feel most rapport is likely to be the most effective for you. If, for any reason, that person is not me, I will gladly suggest others whom I know and respect.
